AtlantiCare dedicated the Michael J. Neustadter Mind, Body, Spirit Center at the AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute, a Fox Chase Cancer Center Partner, on July 26, 2012. Friends and family attended the event to honor the late Michael J. Neustadter, who joined AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s (ARMC) Board of Governors in 1995 and led the Board from mid-1999 through 2003. He served as chairman of the AtlantiCare Board of Trustees from 2007 until his death in January, 2012.
The Michael J. Neustadter Mind, Body, Spirit Center, located on the second floor off the AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute, a Fox Chase Cancer Center Partner, was created with one goal in mind-to ensure the enhancement and sustainability of our patient-centered approaches to care. We believe that patients and their families should be able to find the care they need right in their community – a belief that Michael shared. This patient and family-centered approach epitomizes Michael J. Neustadter’s legacy – his longstanding commitment to serving the community and his passion for helping people.
The Michael J. Neustadter Mind, Body, Spirit Center services are based on a person’s unique and individualized treatment plans and consider the whole person, not just the person’s disease. We provide evidence-based care delivered in a holistic manner that incorporates hospital-based diagnosis and treatment protocols as well as education and support in a healing environment.
In honoring Michael’s contributions to our organization and the community, AtlantiCare hopes that other families who are impacted by cancer diagnoses may be able to access all the care and support they need – right here. Family was everything to Michael and, in that spirit, we are working to ensure that patients can be surrounded by family and friends here in the Michael J. Neustadter Mind, Body, and Spirit Center at the AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute during their journeys.
The Michael J. Neustadter Mind, Body, and Spirit Center at the AtlantiCare Cancer Care Institute is located at 2500 English Creek Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, NJ
